On October 20, the construction of Accelight Technologies, Inc.'s global headquarters and optical R&D and production base officially commenced in Wuhan East Lake Comprehensive Bonded Zone. The company signed a cooperation agreement with the East Lake High-Tech Development Zone for the project.

Founded in 2017, Accelight Technologies, Inc. is recognized as a National Specialized, Sophisticated, and Innovative "Little Giant" Enterprise, a "Golden Seed" for listing in Wuhan, and a "Gazelle Enterprise" in Optics Valley. The company specializes in the R&D and manufacturing of optoelectronic devices and modules for the optical communication sector, with products widely used in telecom carriers' transmission systems, data centers, optical interconnects for AI computing power centers, and lidar applications. Accelight operates an R&D and sales service center in Silicon Valley, USA, and a manufacturing hub in Thailand. Its 800G optical modules have entered mass production, while its 1.6T products have completed R&D and are in the pilot production phase.

The newly signed project, covering a total planned area of approximately 50,000 square meters, will focus on export-oriented operations. It will encompass the R&D, production, sales, and technical services of high-speed optical modules, active/passive devices and modules, and lidar products. Upon completion, the base will strengthen the company's R&D capabilities, enhance its comprehensive competitiveness, and improve product delivery efficiency to meet growing market demands. This initiative will further reinforce Optics Valley's leadership in building a fully integrated optical communication industry chain.

During the signing ceremony, Gu Gong'en, Chairman of Accelight Technologies, Inc., stated that since the release of generative AI large language models in 2023, the surge in demand for AI computing power has created unprecedented growth opportunities for the high-speed optical module industry.
